We all wear many hats

Tova contacted me about designing a logo to for her business that would be suitable for using on tags of her hats and accessories as well. Once we got the style down, it was just a matter of nailing down the colors. She was looking for something bright and fun. She also had me work on a version that just has blue colors.

Rockin' for TAPS!

Meet Maddox. Maddox has been at TAPS for about 6 months. He is a 4 year old tri-color hound mix who is always glad to see you and greets you with a wag and a smile.

I had the privilege last night of photographing the Rockin' for TAPS fundraiser event at the Pekin Boat Club. Maddox and several of his friends were there visiting with the public.

Tazewell Animal Protective Society (TAPS) Animal Adoption Center and Shelter is a no-kill shelter that gives dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens a home until permanent homes can be found. If you're looking for a new pet, please be sure to check out all the dogs and cats that are staying at TAPS!

Sarah Ra'anan had me design her original logo just over two years ago...since then, I've worked with her many times on templates for cards and storyboards. Over the years, her business has grown and her style has changed. With an upcoming move for her family as well as her business, she decided that now was the perfect time to revamp her logo.

I also worked up this little divider with her initials that she will be using to separate her posts as well as as her header.

PSA...Back-up and Protect!

So, if some of you are wondering where I've been, why I haven't been returning e-mails and where your designs are, I've just spent many, MANY, many hours reformatting my computer and reinstalling EVERYTHING on to it...BLAH!

I wasn't using a current Anti-Virus program (shame on me) and I found out the hard way why you should keep those programs current and updated. I'm VERY thankful that 99.8% of my work was completely backed up onto an external so I didn't lose anything major, other than very precious time.

So, my Public Service Announcement to you is two-fold.
#1 - Make sure you're using a good Anti-Virus program and keep it updated, and
#2 - Be sure to always back up your work on a regular basis...just in case!
