Not even sure about how to make a photo header for your blog?

http://photographybyheatherl.blogspot.com/

That's a horse of a different COLOR!

Is there anything harder than choosing the "perfect" colors for you design?

Adobe has designed an awesome tool
to make this a bit easier. If you sign in you can download the color schemes you like as an .ase which can be imported to CS2 and CS3 applications via the Swatches palette. This should make finding the best color scheme for your design fun and easy!

A little more recognition...

for Sarah Ra'anan Photography. Not only did I design a logo for Sarah's business, we added a "brush" for her photos, a round sticker for her packaging, a business card and a postcard. What a great way to brand her business!

Just "Cristina"

Another logo...this one for Cristina Sandoval of Brownsville, Texas. She was looking for something clean and simple with shades of pink and brown.

If you're in her area and need your pictures done, look her up!

Congrats Cristina, and good luck!

Let Sarah "Capture the Essence of You"

Just finished working on this logo for Sarah Ra'anan Photography. Sarah specializes in portrait photography in the New Milford, New Jersey area.

She wanted a classic looking logo that incorporated the colors of Neapolitan ice cream in her logo! The rich colors really make the pink pop and she can use her monogrammed circle as a watermark on her photographs and stickers.

Good luck with your business Sarah...enjoy your new logo!

May's Client of the Month...

is NJ Wedding Ideas!

I've only worked with them for the past three months or so, but they are great to work for. Guy and Ally have started their book from scratch and in just the first two issues have made it huge! From dealing with all the trials of starting a new publication to communication and printing issues to moving into a new office, they've had a bumpy start, but have come through with flying colors. They have made this publication something that every bride will be looking for when she's ready to start planning her wedding.

In the near future, they are also planning on starting up other publications - for kids and families and Home & Garden.

NJ Wedding Ideas now has an awesome presentation package...Their website (http://www.njweddingideas.net/), business cards, letterhead, invoices, folder with information for potential advertisers and thank you card are all coordinating and look awesome together!

What a great way to build yourself to your target market - repetition of the logo, colors, and background photo really helps to build recognition.

If you're looking for a place to advertise your business in New Jersey, contact NJ Directories to find out if they have a publication that suits your advertising needs.

Orton is now an ACTION!

There was an amazing article in Popular Photography several months back about a photographer named Michael Orton. His beautiful photographs that were shown with the article were unbelieveable. The photos were almost like a painting...ethereal and romantic. The article explained how he created these artistic photographs in an easy, step-by-step process...easy, that is, if you use slide film.

What if, with your digital camera, you want to create these artistic images, images that go beyond being a document of nature, images that seem to express mood and emotion?

Well, you can use the trial and error approach and try to figure out how to combine all your digital images into one and achive the same look, or you can try my Orton Technique action for Photoshop, romance.

lights, camera, ACTIONS!!!

I've been working on some great Photoshop actions and tweaking them to perfection. Here are a few of the ones I've finished. Let me know what you think!

So far there are 23 different actions available, with more to come. Want a specific action, let me know and I'll see what I can whip up.

(These only work with PS7 and higher, not PSE...sorry.)

Photoshop brushes are sent as a photoshop .abr brush file.

Brushes are not for resale and you are not to claim them as your own. "Professional Use" implies that you'll be using the brush on a template or file that you will be selling to a client, not that you have the right to sell the actual brush.

The color scheme and layout will be very user friendly. People of all computer skill levels and all ages will be able to navigate your site with ease.

With the right approach, your web site becomes
an effective instrument...at work 24 hours a day,
365 days a year to promote your business and
keep your clients up to date on new information.

There's nothing more important than keeping your business in the public eye in every way possible. The internet is one of those ways...and it's growing in popularity every day. A website will allow potential clients to browse your services from the convenience of their home. It also allows you to showcase new offers, specials, important notices, or any information that you want to get out to your community quickly.

*Special Offers
* Services
* Staff

If you feel you are in need of more than 5 pages, you can add pages to your site for only $75/page more. These pages will have the same color scheme and theme as your original pages, unless you specify otherwise.

payment information

You payment also includes the cost of hosting for one year. You tell me what you want for the name of your website (top 3 choices) and I'll set everything up for you.

Websites take approximately 4-6 weeks to design. Some more, some less.
